Several pages of contemporary recipes in a neat hand to several rear blank pages, probably by the owner of the book, Clara Henkle, whose signature (and date of 1884) appear on front free endpaper. Mrs. Kirkpatrick, of Cozy Nest Cottage, Springfield, Ohio, compiled this book of recipes with the help of Mrs. J.B. Christie (Christie Irving), and presents recipes herein for tomato mustard, fried chicken, roast turkey with oysters, French strawberry short-cake, etc. Internal splotches and pencil marks here and there, else very good.
