Smoky, buttery and savory-sweet, this is big flavor in a small can—exactly what you’d expect from a company that takes its fish very seriously. For over 30 years, Wildfish has been carrying on the craft and time-honored traditions of the small fishing town Klawock (population 796). Located on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska, Klawock is the home of Alaska’s first salmon cannery, founded more than a century ago. These days, Wildfish focuses on wild king salmon, caught sustainably by Alaskan fishers and divers. They hand-slice every piece of king salmon into thick filets—so they won’t fall apart on you—then brine it in flavorful seasonings. The final touch is all-natural woodsmoke, which adds tons of smoky flavor and acts as a natural preservative. It’s unlike any canned (or smoked) salmon we’ve tried.
