The hottest hotel in San Francisco at the time, the California Vintners chose to hold their annual wine tasting here in 1987. Wines were presented in several vintages by Chateau St. Jean, Sebastiani Vineyards, Joseph Phelps, Gundlach-Bundschu and others. Speakers included Gerald Asher, Charles Shaw, Craig Williams, and several other vintners. A few wine splotches to interior, else very good.
