It’s why we shrunk down our bestselling, full-sized Everything Pan into the compact, 7.5-inch-wide Everyday Pan. It has the same hybridized shape as the original, which combines the best of a skillet and a saucier: Shorter, sloped sides maximize surface area for cooking, while rounded edges aid in whisking and stirring, all complete with the same cast-iron construction and durable pre-seasoning.

The smaller size fills an equipment hole that we’ve found most kitchens have: A high-performance pan that’s perfect for true everyday, individual use. We love it for eggs of any style in the morning, an afternoon grilled cheese or a strip steak for dinner. It toasts nuts and spices expertly and excels as a personal pan, great for mini frittatas or pan pizzas. It's also ideal for single-size mac and cheese or baked pastas, like ziti. After casting, the Everyday Pan is tumbled smooth—a final polishing step that most modern cast-iron producers skip—which makes all the difference between the sleek, satin finish of a well-seasoned vintage pan and the rough, pebbled surface of most new pans. It’s then treated with a durable, all-natural vegetable oil seasoning, making it slippery-smooth right out of the box.
