Based in the heart of Sweden’s candy capital, Grenna Polkagriskokeri follows a traditional recipe to make their buttery, melt-in-your-mouth toffees. The confectionary’s bakers slowly heat sugar and butter until golden, before stretching and shaping the candy into bite-sized pieces. The result are rich, chewy toffees that are pleasantly sweet. We have Grenna’s most popular flavors available: warm Gingersnap (known as pepperkaks in Sweden), nutty Chocolate and Cream, which reminds us of vanilla caramels.
While the toffee might feel hard in your hand, it will melt in your mouth and won’t stick to your teeth. The toffees are inspected for quality control before they’re wrapped in charming 5.4-ounce bags and shipped off to you. Traditional Swedish toffee is hard to find stateside. Sold individually or in a set of three.
