When simmered with milk, the chocolate dissolves into a thick, creamy, rich treat. It tastes like a complex milk chocolate, with rich, almost spicy notes—like a great bar of European chocolate—and the fat from the ground chocolate gives the drinking chocolate a silky-smooth mouthfeel. It comes in a giftable tin emblazoned with children cheekily tossing bars of chocolate; all of La Despensa de Palacio’s sweets are packaged in charming tins designed by Alfredo, the company’s in-house painter.

How to Use: Mix roughly 1/4 cup of ground chocolate into 1 cup of simmering milk in a saucepan on the stove until dissolved.
